Tanytrachelos is an extinct genus of tanystropheid archosauromorph reptile from the Late Triassic of the eastern United States. It contains a single species, Tanytrachelos ahynis , which is known from several hundred fossil specimens preserved in the Solite Quarry in Cascade, Virginia .
